What is Hably Hablak.

Hably Hablak is a unique mentorship program that targets Yemeni youth to provide them with academic, professional, and/or cultural guidance. The phrase “Hably Hablak” is a saying used in traditional Yemeni games that translates to “give me and I will give you back”. It involves the establishment of a supportive learning relationship between individuals (mentors) who share their experience, knowledge, and skills with individuals (mentees) who agree to learn and grow from these exchanges.

Why is Hably Hablak Important.

The education system in Yemen does not adequately equip young people with the professional skills needed in the modern working world. Furthermore, the Yemeni professional sector lacks well-structured mentorship programs that address this need. Hably Hablak aims to fill these knowledge gaps by providing mentoring activities for the Yemeni youth to better prepare them for their future academic, professional, and/or cultural activities.
